Email a Couple from a Booking

Send a one-off email to the couple from inside the booking, use an existing template, and resend drafts that failed.

WAWritten by Wendor Admin

Bookings > Emails

Open a booking and switch to the Emails tab. This is the log of every email Wendor has sent (or tried to send) on this booking - system emails, automation emails, and the ones you send manually. From here you can send a fresh email to the couple or resend any draft.

Before you start

  • A connected email provider in Mail Settings. Without one, Wendor can't send any email.

What you'll see in the log

Each row in the Emails tab is one email. Columns:

  • Seq No - sequence number.
  • Email Date Sent - when the email was queued or sent.
  • Email Status - current status (see below).
  • Subject - the email's subject line.
  • Recipient - who received it (usually the couple).

Email statuses

  • Draft - saved but not sent.
  • Sent - successfully delivered.
  • Failed - Wendor tried but couldn't send (bad address, provider rejection, etc.).

Send a new email

  1. On the Emails tab, click Send New Email.
Send New Email button on the Emails tab
Send New Email opens the compose form.
  1. Pick an existing email template from the dropdown, or compose from scratch.

Compose form - pick a template or write from scratch, then save or send.
  1. Fill in:
    • Subject (required) - pre-filled if you picked a template.
    • Body (required) - rich text. Merge fields work here too. Type @ to insert one - see Using Merge Fields.
  2. Click Save as Draft or Send Now.

If you save as a draft, the email lands in the log with status Draft and no email is sent until you come back and send it.

Resend a draft or failed email

  1. Open the email from the log.
  2. Edit the subject or body if needed.
  3. Click Send Now.

The email's status moves to Sent.

How automation emails show up here

Emails that Wendor sent for you because of a workflow automation appear here too. They use whichever email template the automation pointed at, and you can see their status (and resend) just like manual emails.
