Setup Checklist

The six-step setup accordion at the top of your dashboard - what each step does, which are required, and how to revisit the checklist whenever you need it.

The setup checklist is the coloured accordion at the very top of your dashboard. It's separate from the two-step onboarding you ran straight after sign-up (your contact details and business details) - this checklist covers the six things you'll want set up to actually take and fulfil bookings.

The six steps

  1. Connect Email - link a Gmail or SMTP account so Wendor can send contracts, invoices, and automation emails on your behalf. Step 1 has an embedded form so you can connect right from the accordion without leaving the dashboard. See Mail Settings.
  2. Sync Calendar - connect Google Calendar so bookings show up there automatically. See Connect Your Google Calendar.
  3. Set Up Templates - create your contract, email, and questionnaire templates so you're not writing them from scratch every time. See About Templates.
  4. Showcase Portfolio - upload photos and link videos so your public profile is worth a couple's time. See Work Portfolio.
  5. Create Packages - build the services couples can book. See About Packages and Add-ons.
  6. Set Up Payments - link your Fire payment account so Wendor can generate payment links. See Billing Settings.

Required vs nice-to-have

Two steps are required before Wendor lets you accept bookings:

  • Connect Email
  • Set Up Payments

The other four are strongly recommended but not blocking. The checklist's progress bar tracks both totals - one for everything, one for the required pair.

The colour of the accordion

The accordion's border and background colour shift as you progress:

  • Red - you've just started.
  • Yellow - you're partway through.
  • Green - you're nearly there.

When every step is done, the accordion disappears from the dashboard entirely.

Open a step

Each step row has a Open step button that pops up a carousel-style modal with a longer explanation and a Go to … button (e.g. Go to Mail Settings, Go to Calendar). The button takes you straight to the relevant module.

Show all / hide

By default the checklist shows the required steps and the next step you haven't finished. Tap Show All to expand the full list, Hide to collapse it back.

Wendor remembers if you collapse it

Tap the accordion header to collapse it. Wendor remembers that choice on this browser for the next year - so if you don't want to see the checklist every time you sign in, collapse it once and it stays that way.
