Create and Manage Contract Templates

Write a reusable contract, preview how it will look on desktop and mobile, set it as your default, and archive or delete it.

Templates > Contracts

The Contracts tab is your library of reusable contract templates. One of them is your default - the one Wendor reaches for when you send a contract from any booking. From here you can create new contracts, set a default, preview them on desktop and mobile, archive ones you no longer use, and delete ones you don't need.

Create a contract template

  1. Open Templates from the left-hand navigation and click the Contracts tab.

  1. Fill in the form (fields below) and click Save.

Fields

  • Template Name (required) - up to 100 characters. E.g. "Standard photography contract".
  • Contract Details (required) - rich text, up to 50,000 characters. Use the full editor (bold, lists, links). Type @ anywhere to insert a merge field.

Preview a contract

Click Preview in the page header at any time to see the rendered contract.

  • Toggle between Desktop and Mobile at the top of the modal.
  • Merge fields show as their names - actual data is filled in when you send the contract from a real booking.

Edit an existing contract

  1. From the Contracts list, open the row's Actions menu () and choose View / Edit.

  2. Update the name or details.

Set a template as the default

The default contract is the one Wendor uses when you click Send Contract on a booking.

  1. Open the row's Actions menu.
  2. Choose Make as Default.

The template now shows a Default badge in the list. The previous default is automatically unmarked - there's always exactly one.

Archive (and unarchive)

Archived contracts disappear from the picker when sending contracts, but stay in your library.

  1. Open the row's Actions menu.
  2. Choose Archive (or Unarchive to bring one back). Use the Status filter at the top of the table to find archived items.

Delete a contract template

Deletion is permanent.
