Onboarding > Step 2: Business Details

The second and final step of onboarding is the long one. Five sub-sections collect everything about your business - company, category, bio, portfolio, video links, and social media. Submitting this step finishes onboarding and unlocks the rest of Wendor.

Step-by-step

  1. From Step 1, click Continue to land on Step 2. The stepper now highlights Business Details with a short intro: "This is how couples will see your business when browsing the App – time to put your best foot forward!"
Onboarding Step 2 - Business Details form covering company name, website, Google Business name, weddings per day, service type, main offering, long bio, portfolio uploader, video link, and social media links
Step 2 - Business Details, all five sub-sections in one form.
  1. If you provided a website at signup, Wendor may show a scraping in progress state for up to 30 seconds while it pre-fills the form (covered below).
  2. Work through the five sub-sections from top to bottom.
  3. Click Save & Finish Set-up at the bottom. Wendor uploads any pending files, saves your onboarding, and takes you to the dashboard.

Sub-section 1 - Business Details

  • Company Name (required) - "What's your company name?". The trading name couples will see.
  • Company Website (optional) - "Do you have a website?". Must be a valid URL.
  • Google Business Name (optional) - "Google Business Name". Search for your business on Google Maps and pick it. Wendor stores the matching Place ID so reviews and location data can sync later.
  • Weddings Per Day (required) - "How many weddings can you manage in a day?". A number from 1 to 10. Defaults to 1.
  • Business Category (required) - "What type of service do you provide?". Pick from the list (Photography, Videography, Music, etc.). This drives which sub-categories appear below and which starter templates Wendor seeds.
  • Sub-Categories (conditional) - only shows if your chosen category has sub-categories. Pick one or more.

Sub-section 2 - Bio

  • Short Bio (required) - "What's your main offering?". Max 80 characters. Auto-fills with a sensible default for your category - edit to match your tone. Shown on profile cards and search results.
  • Long Bio (optional) - "Tell couples what makes your work special". Rich text, max 500 characters. Live character count below the editor.

Sub-section 3 - Portfolio

  • Portfolio Files (optional) - "Add samples of your work (images or videos)".
    • Max 15 files in total.
    • Max 50 MB per file.
    • Accepted types: JPEG, JPG, PNG, and MP4 video.
    • Files are validated when you pick them and queued locally. Wendor uploads them when you submit, with retries on failure.
    • Videos are auto-converted to portrait orientation during upload so they play consistently on every device - the uploader notes: "Upload your videos in portrait mode for the best mobile experience. If your video is in landscape, no worries we'll automatically make it mobile-friendly!"

Sub-section 4 - Video Links

  • Video Links (optional) - "Got a highlight video? Paste a YouTube or Vimeo link here". Multiple links allowed.
    • Only YouTube (youtube.com, youtu.be) and Vimeo (vimeo.com) URLs are accepted.
    • Click Add Another Link to add more rows; the trash icon removes a row.

Sub-section 5 - Social Media

All five fields are optional. Each validates against that platform's domain - a TikTok link in the Instagram field is rejected.

  • YouTube (optional) - e.g. https://youtube.com/your_channel_name.
  • Instagram (optional) - e.g. https://instagram.com/your_handle_name.
  • TikTok (optional) - e.g. https://tiktok.com/@your_handle_name.
  • Pinterest (optional) - e.g. https://pinterest.com/your_handle_name.
  • LinkedIn (optional) - e.g. https://linkedin.com/in/your_profile_name.

The scraping step (if you added a website at signup)

If you provided a Website URL during signup, Wendor kicks off a background job to fetch your site and pre-fill this form. While it's running, you'll see a scraping in progress banner.

  • Wait it out - usually completes inside 30 seconds. Form fields fill in as soon as the data lands.
  • Skip it - there's a manual skip button. Useful if you'd rather just type things in.
  • Automatic timeout - if scraping takes more than 30 seconds, Wendor auto-skips and lets you fill the form by hand.

The scraper can fill in your profile picture, company name, short and long bio, portfolio items, and social media links. Anything it can't find, you fill manually.

Save & Finish Set-up

Click Save & Finish Set-up at the bottom of the form. The button shows "Uploading Files..." while portfolio and profile-photo uploads run, then "Saving..." while Wendor finishes saving everything. When it's done you're taken to the dashboard. See What Wendor Sets Up When You Finish Onboarding for everything that happens behind the scenes.
