Send Attachments
Send photos, videos, or files from your phone - pick from the gallery or attach a file before sending.
Add a photo, video, or file
At the bottom of every chat is the input bar, where you type your message. To the left of the text field is an attachment icon (paperclip) - that's how you attach things.
- Tap the attachment icon.
- Choose what to send - photos, videos, or any file from your phone.
- Pick one or several. Each one appears as a small preview just above the input bar.
- Type a message to go with them (optional) - the placeholder reads Type a message.
- Tap the send button on the right.
Your text and all the attached files go out as a single message.
Attachment previews
Each thing you attach shows up as a small thumbnail before you send it. While the file is uploading you'll see a progress indicator on the preview; once it's ready a checkmark appears.
Remove something before sending
Changed your mind? Long-press any preview to remove it before you tap send.
If a message doesn't go through
If something stops your message from being delivered (for example, you lose signal), it'll show as undelivered in the thread. Once you're back online you can try sending it again.
