About Onboarding
The ten-step onboarding flow you go through right after sign-up - why it matters, what gets collected, and how to come back to it.
Onboarding is the short setup flow that runs the first time you open Wendor. It tells Wendor who the two of you are, when and where you're getting married, and what kind of vendors might suit you. Everything you enter shapes the recommendations and tools you see later.
Welcome screen first
Before the 10 steps begin, Wendor shows a short welcome screen: "Welcome to Wendor, <your name>! We are so excited for you and <partner>'s special day. To get started, what vendors are you looking to book?". Tick the vendor categories you're interested in - Celebrant, Entertainer, Florist, Hair Stylist, Makeup Artist, and so on - and tap Get Started.
Your ticks become your preferred categories - Wendor pins them at the top of the Vendors screen later for quick access.

What to expect
Onboarding is 10 steps in a fixed order. You can't jump ahead, but you can go back to change an earlier answer using the back arrow.
Most steps are required. A few - the couple type pick, your couple photos, your story, and inspiration - can be skipped and added later from your profile.

The 10 steps
- Couple type and pronouns - how you describe yourselves as a couple.
- Add your names - your name and pronouns.
- Add your names - your partner's name and pronouns (same screen flow).
- Couple photos - 1 to 3 photos and a cover.
- Your couple story - short text or a voice note.
- Wedding date - when the big day is.
- Venues - ceremony, reception, and getting-ready locations.
- Venues - getting-ready locations (same screen flow).
- Guest count - how many people you're expecting.
- Inspiration - photos or links that show the style you love.
If you stop partway
You can close the app at any point. The next time you sign in, Wendor takes you straight back to the step you stopped on. None of your earlier answers are lost.
What happens at the end
Once you finish step 10, your account becomes Active. Wendor opens the Recommendation Engine, where you swipe through short vendor reels to fine-tune your matches. After that, you land on your dashboard and the full app is yours to explore.
